We use ARL (Analytical Research Labs, Inc.) because they do not wash the hair at the laboratory. Washing hair samples at the laboratory has been shown to erratically wash out the water-soluble elements. This creates much less accurate results. In a 2001 study in the Journal of the AMA (Seidel, S. et al., Assessment of Commercial Laboratories Performing Hair Mineral Analysis, JAMA, 285(1) Jan 3:67-72.) the two laboratories that did not wash the hair, of which ARL was one, showed superb reliability.

Few other reasons we use ARL:

• Use technologically advanced testing instruments, including the Perkin Elmer Elan 9000 ICP Mass Spectrometer.
• They use quality control procedures. These include known controls which are tested at the beginning, middle and end of every batch of hair samples to insure the accuracy of the results.
• They automatically retest any reading that is out of a normally expected range, provided sufficient hair is available for a second sample.
• Test results are printed on an easy-to-read graph, unlike many of the other laboratories. This is a great benefit for both practitioners and their clients as well. The printed graph includes the mineral results, major mineral ratios and the oxidation type.
• They offer the only complete individualized test interpretation by the method developed by the late Dr. Paul C. Eck, our founder.

We recommend getting retests every 4 months to make sure that your program is correct and that you are heading in the right direction.  A current hair mineral analysis will let us know if we need to make any mid-course corrections so that you continue to improve your energy and biochemistry.

The body is constantly readjusting its mineral levels so we do not want to wait too long on the same program because it can change.

For cats and dogs we recommend retesting every 6 months.

A hair tissue mineral analysis tests for 21 nutritive and toxic minerals. It is a screening test (it is not diagnostic) that measures the mineral content of your hair which reflects the mineral content of your  body’s tissues. If a mineral deficiency or excess exists in the hair, it usually indicates a mineral imbalance within the body, or bio-unavailability (body can’t use it). Hair analysis also provides pertinent information about your oxidation type/rate (metabolism), energy levels, carbohydrate tolerance, stage of stress , nervous system balance, heavy metal toxicity, kidney and liver stress, adrenal and thyroid activity, immune system, trends for physical, mental, and emotional conditions, and more.

Firstly, we use hair mineral analysis which is a magnificent tool that allows us to set up a program that is designed for you. It is set up for your individual biochemistry.

We use a holistic approach that includes food guidelines, nutrient supplements, detoxification protocols, and lifestyle improvements. You also get to work closely with a practitioner so that you do not have to do this journey alone.

Secondly, our program  does not focus on symptoms but rather helps to correct your  individual biochemistry which we see over and over again that symptoms just fall by the wayside; it is far more permanent and health producing than simply chasing symptoms. We do offer remedies to help you get through healing reactions and reoccurring symptoms if needed, but they are offered in a way that continues to balanced your bio-chemistry.

Lastly, with regular retesting, we can monitor improvements and changes that need to be made so that you can obtain the health and vitality that you have dreamed of or had years ago.

Immediately for some people.  I have gone over close to 20,000 hair tests and in my experience most people notice some improvements within the first 4 months. It can depend on where the minerals levels are on your first test and how much of the program you can do.
